Phil N. Bui

Phil N. Bui is an Associate in the San Francisco office where he provides litigation expertise to our public agency clients. He has litigated state and federal cases pertaining to labor and employment, personal injury, products liability, and premises liability law.

Prior to joining Liebert Cassidy Whitmore, Phil litigated for San Francisco based and Orange County Based law firms where he managed civil litigation matters in the areas of personal injury, products liability, and premises liability. He is thoroughly familiar with all aspects of a case from inception to resolution, including discovery, law and motion, taking and defending depositions, negotiating settlements at mediation, attending arbitration, and preparing for trial. Phil served 13 years in the United States Army Reserve with the 426th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne) as an Army Officer before receiving an honorable discharge in 2021.

Phil obtained his J.D. from Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law, where he was an active member of both the Public Interest Law Foundation and the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. As an undergraduate, Phil attended the University of California, Los Angeles where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a minor in Philosophy.
